- How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a strange land?
It has been over a decade since I first started compiling this list of our favorite songs. It was during one of our church’s annual Easter retreat. In a moment of reflection, it dawned on me that, I don’t really know many of the songs of my youthful Christian days. I found it appalling that many other Christians knew very few of those spirit and life reviving stories we used to sing in the good old days.
This was what moved me to compile this list. Through the next few weeks and days, the list of songs began to grow. Today’s topic at our church Sunday worship service reminded me of that list. I quickly dug it up from my old blog for reproduction here.
These songs, prayerfully rendered are soul reviving, renewing and refreshing. Come sing along – songs of joy, hope and love. These are songs of victory, faith and revival. Songs that make our Lord Jesus real and ever present. Songs that bring heaven closer to your soul.
